I use MongoDB to store the processed data from the raw images. So I include a copy of Mongo DB in the installer and it gets installed in the File System Explorer application directory in its own bin folder. It doesn’t get installed as such, it just gets called from within FSX and runs within its own thread whilst FSX is running.
You need to make sure that there are some access plugins in the application plugin folder. These should be installed automatically for you. These dlls are the way FSX is able to read the raw images.
Should be as easy as running the FSX-n.msi installer from the downloads section.
I’ve only tested it on 64 bit versions of Windows 8.1 (Enterprise) and Windows 7 (Ultimate).
