Help using DIFS

Examples

When you install WaFFS the product will install sample XML files in the "Examples" subdirectory. You can take the example which most closely matches your needs and modify it.

Get Help from the Developer

You can start a discussion from the discussions tab.

When logging a problem it is useful to include;

• Version of WaFFS
• Windows Version
• 32bit or 64bit Windows
• 32bit or 64bit WaFFS
• SharePoint Version 2010/13/16/365
• Log file (see manual for details of how to enable logging)
• Copy of XML configuration files (Remove any password, even if it is encrypted)

To troubleshoot local machine permissions please indicate if you have tried "Run As Administrator"

To troubleshoot SharePoint permissions please indicate that the user running import has permissions to do via the UI what do are asking WaFFS to do - I.e. add documents

Finally don't forget to mention anything special about your environment. Like using ADFS, custom event receivers on the destination etc etc

Logging into Codeplex

Some users have experienced problems doing this with their Microsoft Live Account.

To work around this problem you may run internet explorer instead of Microsoft Edge and choose Codeplex account when signing in rather than using a linked Microsoft Live account.

Alternatively you can use the GitHub project for WaFFS and raise an issue there.
