SharePoint Farm and Authentication

Select the type of SharePoint farm you would like to connect to.

SPO – SharePoint Online tenant using a SharePoint Online user name and password for authentication.

On-Prem – SharePoint on-premises farm that uses a domain user name and password for authentication. This can also use the current user domain credentials.

Use Default Credentials – Selecting this checkbox will use the current logged in user account. This is not available for SharePoint Online.

Data

Select the type of database to store the audit data using the button. This will display the Database Selection Dialog.

Multi-Threaded – This allows the application to use 1 thread per site collection for faster data collection.

Max Threads – The maximum number of threads that can be active at one time.

Active Threads shows the number of active threads processing data while the application is running.

Write log to database – The application by default writes to a file called log.txt in the same folder as the executable. Checking this checkbox writes the data to a Log table in the selected database.

Clear Working Tables – This button is enabled if there is data in the working tables and the data has not been archived. Clicking this button will delete all of the data in the working tables. This is usually only necessary if you run into an error while collecting data or the application is stopped during data collection.
