Project Description
.Net MVC Dialog Authentication Starter is the basic .Net MVC application starter template that has been modified to render the Register and Logon functionality via a modal dialog. It is developed using .Net MVC 2, Jquery 1.4.1, and Jquery UI 1.8.6.

The functionality resides in the LoginUserControl and is completely based around jquery which means that there is no obtrusion into any additional functionality which is added to the project. Unsuccessful authentication causes validation messages to appear within the dialog. Successful authentication causes the modal dialog to close and the login control / welcome message to be reloaded.

The dialog style is fully customizable by downloading theme packs from Jquery UI Theme Roller.
