Project Description
This project contains the source code and libraries for the Esri ArcGIS Silverlight Toolkit SDK. The library is an extension of the ArcGIS API for Silverlight™, ArcGIS Runtime SDK for Windows Phone (up to version 10.1.1) and the ArcGIS Runtime
SDK for WPF™. Included are a number of controls, widgets, tools, and data sources you can use to enhance your applications.
NOTE: This library is only an extension of the ArcGIS API for Silverlight™, ArcGIS Runtime SDK for Windows Phone, or the ArcGIS Runtime SDK for WPF™. In order to build a complete mapping application,
you will also need to install the respective products on which they are built. See below for instructions on how to get started.
Getting started
- Download the ArcGIS API/SDK product for Silverlight, Windows Phone, or WPF:
Download the ArcGIS API for Silverlight
or Download the ArcGIS Runtime SDK for Windows Phone (up to version 10.1.1)
or Download the ArcGIS Runtime SDK for WPF - Download the source code by clicking the download button to the right, or the Download link under the Source Code or Downloads tab. Unzip the downloaded file to a location of your choice. You'll see the source code for Silverlight, Windows Phone, and WPF in separate folders.
- In Visual Studio, open the solution for Silverlight, Windows Phone, or WPF. You'll be prompted to go offline (source code for the toolkit is managed in TFS), click OK. You may need to update the reference to the location of the core ArcGIS Silverlight, Windows Phone, or WPF assembly ESRI.ArcGIS.Client.dll.
- Build the ESRI.ArcGIS.Client.Toolkit and ESRI.ArcGIS.Client.Toolkit.DataSources projects and reference the dlls in your application.
